Alan Payne

Alan has a degree in Finance from Birmingham University and is a chartered accountant. He is a founding partner of Bridgepoint Development Capital (BDC), where he sits on the Board and its Operating Committee, and is a member of its Investment Advisory Committee. Alan joined BDC in 1996 and is currently a board member for portfolio companies Monica Vinader and Analysys Mason. He has led a broad range of transactions, including public-to-private and serial international buy-and-build investments; previous transactions have included working with HKA, Matrix, Quotient Clinical, Phlexglobal, LOC Group, BigHand, The Energy Solutions Group, Pulsant and Safestore PLC. Prior to joining BDC, he worked for Deloitte (formerly Arthur Andersen) on its corporate finance team.
