Harminder is a Partner within the Competitive Strategy practice at Prescient. He has led competitive intelligence programs to support a varied customer types and understands the nuanced needs of the teams within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. He has been a part of competitive intelligence projects for 20 years and has supported brand teams from pre-launch to loss of exclusivity.
Harminder began his career as a pharmacist/pharmaceutical scientist and worked at Virgina BioTech Research Park as a research scientist before moving to pharmaceutical consulting. His experience in drug discovery and understanding of patient needs has supported much of his consulting projects over the years. His therapeutic experience spans across oncology, immunology and autoimmune diseases. He also understands the biosimilar market and has been supporting projects in this space since the launch of the first biosimilar product 20 years ago.
Harminder focuses on understanding business needs of clients and deriving the best possible solution through evaluating market/customer behaviour and how markets will change based on the evolving landscape. He has been recognized in making teams ready for future competition and plan tactics that can increase brand/product success.
Another area of focus for him has been to develop leaders within the Competitive Strategy practice. He has been a mentor to many current leaders who have been able to successfully grow within and outside Prescient.
He describes himself as an organized individual who focuses on identifying strategic objectives for each task and converting them into executable plans. Through this clear approach, he has helped motivate his colleagues and deliver value to clients.
