Mladen is a Client Partner in the Competitive Strategy Practice at Prescient, with nearly 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He leads strategic engagements across the biopharmaceutical sector, leveraging deep scientific, clinical, and market expertise to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations across clinical development, regulatory, and commercial functions.
Mladen has supported competitive strategy initiatives for products and portfolios across all stages of the lifecycle, from early pipeline assets to mature brands. His work focuses on helping clients anticipate competitive dynamics, market shifts, and evolving treatment paradigms to optimize strategy and drive informed decision-making. His experience spans multiple therapeutic areas, including metabolic diseases, infectious diseases, rare diseases, immunology and inflammation, neurology, hematology and oncology.
Before joining Prescient, Mladen led the Infectious and Rare Diseases practice at Clarivate (formerly Decision Resources Group), overseeing syndicated and custom market research and analytics services. Earlier in his career, he held R&D leadership roles at Merck and AstraZeneca, managing research programs across both small-molecule and biologics platforms.
Mladen earned a PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology from University of Minnesota and completed postdoctoral training in infectious diseases at Columbia University.
He is passionate about collaborating and partnering with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to address complex business challenges and develop forward-looking competitive strategies.
