Sarah Appelbaum is an Associate Partner at Prescient with more than a decade of experience advising pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations across strategy, transformation, and execution. She serves as a trusted advisor to global leaders across the product lifecycle, helping organizations align stakeholders, navigate complex decisions, and translate strategy into measurable impact.
Sarah’s expertise spans Medical Affairs, Commercial, Patient Services, and Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance, with particular specialization in Medical Affairs transformation, launch excellence, annual strategic planning, operating model design, evidence generation strategy, and organizational effectiveness. She has partnered with organizations ranging from emerging biotechnology companies to leading global pharmaceutical firms, helping leaders solve complex business challenges and drive sustainable impact.
Her therapeutic experience includes Immunology, Oncology, Hematology, Rare Disease, Neurology, and Cardiometabolic conditions. Sarah is particularly passionate about the evolving role of Medical Affairs as a strategic enterprise function and the opportunities created by advances in data, digital engagement, and AI.
In addition to her client work, Sarah has played an active role in shaping and growing Prescient’s Medical practice through capability development, thought leadership, talent development, and strategic growth initiatives.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science in Management of Technology from New York University.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys strength training, discovering new restaurants with friends, and contributing to causes that strengthen communities. She supports Friends of the Clinton Hill Library, serves in a leadership role on her building’s tenant committee, and has been a longtime supporter of the National MS Society through her fundraising for Walk MS. These efforts reflect the same passion for leadership, service, and impact that she brings to her work with clients.
